Take the 2 sets of numbers next to your resolution and put them into the corresponding boxes below labeled "Top" and "Left. 6. Hit the RECORD button (the circle). Now go join your scrim/match. 7. After you are finished playing hit the STOP button (square). You will find your recorded demo in the Octinium folder labeled with the date and time.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If you do not have "DivX ;-) MPEG-4 Low-Motion" in Video Options this means you did not install the divx codec included with Octinium. Please go back to your Octinium folder and run "run_me_first.exe" If your resolution isnt on the list this just means i havent gotten around to adding it yet. You should SEE your crosshair in the completed octinium demo Make sure that octinium.exe is always in the same folder as the hook.dll and stlport_vc645.dll Please report ALL questions, complaints and comments to Duffy in #octinium.
Since COD2, like COD1, has a built in demo record function, all he has done is provide a tool to convert the demo file to the divx video standard so you can view the demo without loading the game and viewing it there.
Not worth the effort in my opinion, since demo files can also be e-mailed to admins. They (we?) know what to do with them to view them.
