still , its a 3d render application no matter how you look at it.
every 3d world presented today , can change the view, cause its a 3d
render.

the idea of it is , that the camera will be from above the player
cg_thirdperson 1 gives me an outside view of the model.

but close not soo far , about the aiming i'll guess i'll figure out
something, it won't be a total 2d , will be more like 3d / 2d when you see

when i build a portal brush
what side get the portal_no_draw
and what side gets the portal?
indoor ? outdoor?

and some buildings , well actually lots of buildings , all of them are

we have (the mod team) have a server provided by a big gaming site who also
provieds 2 regular COD (i think its 24 or 26 players) also provides some
quake \ unreal T 3 \ Counter Strike 1.6 / Source, and ofcourse a 64 one for
BF 2.

host a server , do it with console /devmap mp_mapname
then with /cg_thirdperson 1

you can see shadows big and musclre,
which gives you the idea of a prim light source very close to the player.
if what you say is true , and thats a limitation.

btw , don't forget that if you put alot of new textures you'll need to
include all of them in an IWD file , now i don't know if there is a way to
do one IWD file containing images for multiple maps , now that i wonder..

and the sun touches a quarter of it
