I do have a good understanding of scripting, having worked on maps for COD,
UO and COD2. Plus I use Python, and we use what we call ALCscripting in
Blender to export what we've built into Ages (the prp files that Plasma
uses), which is bas... [ more] |

Sniper Scope Hold Breath SoundCall of Duty 4 : CoD 4 Level DesignI'm looking into trying to remove the sound you get when you steady your
sniper scope, the holding breath and heart beat.
My first idea was to remove the sound files......except I can't find any
sound file in the IWD's that match that...
The idea is... [ more] |

Why is it when I'm playing the game gets stuck and makes noises(stuttering) for about 10 secs then resumes. It's happened about 4 times now? Maybe graphics card? Call of Duty 2 : CoD 2 Level DesignThere are several things that can cause games like this to "Stutter" while
playing. Make sure you have the latest drivers for you graphics adaptor and
for your sound. That one is always the golden rule, but rarely fixes this
problem. Mainly because the "S... [ more] |

file size - what contributes the most?Call of Duty 2 : CoD 2 Level DesignThis is a topic I had talked about before, with some mixed results.
Prefabs will start increasing your .map file size quickly. There are ways
to trim that. If your map is a MP map, go in and edit the prefab and remove
all the SP enities that are in it.... [ more] |

Editing PrefabsCall of Duty 2 : CoD 2 Level DesignThey should. The prefab is still a map file that is inserted into
yourmapname file. That means the sturctures and models are still treated
the same when the map is compiled into a bsp file.
