My room mate & I have been beating our brains out trying to find a solution to this... We are trying to clip a flak 88 inside a bunker so it only has so much a range of motion so it doesnt go through the bunker walls. We have tried every clip brush we can think of, also the MP 88 doesn't have a collision brush on the barrel. I found the asset converter, but i think that is more of a weapons mod, which is something we don't want to do. Is there any way to clip this weapon without going through the walls or having to do a weapons mod? Any help would be appreciated!!

I don't think any amount of clipping will help, the tanks do it as well. What you can try is, setting up a horizontal limited arc. With your flak bring up the entites list and give it a key of harc and then a value of desired amount. Say if you give it a value of 90, it will only allow it to turn 90 degress of the direction the flak is pointed. You may also try the turret functions, though I haven't tested them. Here's the values for turret functions....

weaponinfo - weapon info
leftarc - horizonal left fire arc.
rightarc - horizonal right fire arc.
toparc - vertical top fire arc.
bottomarc - vertical bottom fire arc.
convergencetime - time (in seconds) to converge to target.
maxrange - maximum firing/sight range.
damage - determines how much the weapon will inflict if a non player uses it
accuracy - all guns are 100% accurate a value of 0.5 would make it 50%

If these don't work, just go with this...

Value - harc
Key - your desired amount

Make sure you rotate the flak in the desired direction too.

^ Hey thanks!

I had a flak inside a bunker as well. The barrel would rotate right through the spport section of the bunker walls. This clearly wasn't what I wanted. I will try these values out sometime.
