sorry i didnt write any instructions yet but so we do not impede your tuna creating workflows generally here is what to do:

#1 choose to CLEAN settings in "P" (radiant prefrences) close radiant.

#2 place these files where they need to go! you can unzip it to driveC and they will be placed automatically. or unzip to desktop and place them yourself. if you have SOF2 or radiant anywhere other than default location or on drive other than C you must open these files in notepad and adjust the paths. theres LOTS of them.
testpatch

#3 if you break something while doing this its not my fault [duh] they work fine for me so far.

actually that readout shows it is working [confused]

vfsExtractRelativePath: success <==== success!!!
LOADED: models/chunks/rock/rock <==== loaded!!!!

but what you can do -- close radiant, open your folder C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix\base\scripts and delete all the .PROJ files (user0.proj, user1.proj, user2.proj... etc.) then, put my user0.proj in there.

open your folder C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix\Radiant-1.4 and delete local.pref then, put my local.pref in there.

start radiant and it should be working.

are you shure this is something that broke from updating our project files? -- if a misc_model appears black you can make it a model_static instead. its because the shader files are incomplete. i dont remember if i ever made a fix for this but it would be a good idea -- can you show me a post where it says i made a file to fix it?

actually i do see a problem now, im fixing it...

OK i have updated the file now!
testpatch #2

this one fixes the stoopid black models problem -- it will add the -rename parameter to your bsp process, replaces all the shaders in your BASE/SHADERS directory with the correct versions, and it will replace your shaderlist.txt with a correct and complete one sorted alphabetically -- if you used custom shaders you will have to add their names into it OR you can just download the automatic shaderlist creator from my website. http://www.homestead.com/ramnor/

once you have installed all these new files... read this FAQ entry it says how to fix the models without shaders by creating a new shader file. more information on this in the SDK design document "SOF2 MP Maps" section 3.3

REMEMBER you have to add your new shader name to the SHADERLIST.TXT or it wont work, this isnt stated in the FAQ. after following that FAQ example you should be able to make the finca poolside chair as a misc_model and it wont come out black anymore.

ive updated the file to fix another small error so its now version #3 of the testpatch. in this version i have also cleaned up the compiler menu. if you decide you liked the old menu better all you have to do is delete your user0.proj and rename the file "original_user0.proj" so that its used instead. this is the final version unless you discover any more errors or want me to add something.
