Hi guys , Im working on a map and i want to make like a small phonebox sized room that will automaticly top up your health and armor, similer to a trigger_hurt working in reverse. Ive seen a similer thing in another map where the guy has you jump on a small platform and all your armor and health top up on its own. I wonder if you guys know how i can accomplish this. Ive seen the Target_Give map but i dont want people to have to trigger it. I hope ive explain this well enough lol. Many thanks to anyone who can help me with this [casanova][casanova][casanova]

i'm not very good at stuff like this but maybe u can put a trigger_hurt in the room and give that a negative value? [ohwell]

Just delete the ‘wait’ key from the trigger in the target_give map, and it should work.



Or you could add the following;

Key ‘wait’
Value ‘0.2’

This will quickly give the player all health and armour.

LOL narc you missed the point m8 , I know of course there has to be a trigger tex involved im not a noob lol , What i ment was i dont what the player to have to press a button or do anything lol. All i want is so when the player goes in the small room hes health and armor are restored. I guess you guys have used trigger_hurt ??? Thats how i want it to work but in reverse so instead of removing your health & armor it restores it.

Hi Cyanide lol i do remember you m8 , Yes i tried using -values and + values on the trigger_hurt but no joy. So if your making a map Cyanide make sure it has 100000 grenade pick ups wont you m8 lol [crazy]

Thanks a lot baltic i,ll give that a go but is there no other way it can work ???

to do it like you want you should use a trigger_multiple instead of a button

put in a trigger_multiple. set the trigger to target a target_give. and set the target_give to target a pickup_health and pickup_armor.

this way when ever you go into the trigger area it will give you the health and armor.


there could be a problem in doing it this way, that you end up with players camping in the room and becoming impossible to kill, because as soon as they get hurt they are given more health. to stop this happening you can put wait : 2 in the trigger_multiple so that the players are only given the health boost every two seconds, and gives you a chance to kill them.

Thx a bunch baltic & Fix , i did it that way u guys suggested i just thought you could do another way. Just hope the noobs dont think the backpacks are not showing up in the map. [lol][lol][lol]
