I played UrT for quite a few months, from 9-2001 up until sof2 came out, so thats about half a year. UrT is cool , I like the fact you have to heal yourself. medics, climbing, open doors (makes for fun open n shut battles), balanced inventory, and it has a bunch of cool maps. The Hit detection in UrT seems WAY more realistic then sof2. But besides all that///// I like sof2 better cuz #1 graphics are WAY better #2 better gametypes (ctf, dem, inf, etc) #3 the #### fact you could do RMG games both single player and multiplayer! #4 The bloodiest single player game I have ever played I havent really played UrT in a while, but I downloaded the new 2.6 to see what its all about. Nothing really exciting, basically the same ####. Next time I will play UrT like I used to, is when they base it off a diff game engine, like the new DOOM engine or whatever. So I hope version 4 of UrT will be out on that. Im sure they wont be able to do it for version 3 but hey ya never know.

graphics are a little better. but UrT has better maps
When version 3 comes out, it will have all those modes and more.
rmg maps are gay
actually there is more blood in sof2(decapitation too)

Hootchie, how do you know that the UrT maps are better? Not even long ago you claimed that you didn't even know where to go on SOF2 maps. And he meant that SOF2 has more blood.

no dumbo, UrT has more blood. sof2 has more body part decapitation. i know about maps sonny...i am old school. the maps flow and play better ...ask anyone who has played both(and has a brain)

I do think they could have made the maps in SOF2 more balanced, it's always blue who has the upper hand except in Col2. I also think maps where the flags are on 2 different levels shouldnt be like that, it's much easier to snatch the flag away and jump down than having to climp up.

Games are games i enjoy playing them, for thier enjoyment and thier freshness, each game has its own redeeming values..####, i go play doom 2 still because i enjoy playing doom 2.

i managed to get about a hour of ut in. pretty good stuff. it's changed since the last i've played it... play some more tonite. then i might go and haunt the ut forums and tell'em what they need to fix. haven't seen that black screen yet, but ctf needs icons for the flag carrier and more....
