That happens when SOF2 cant find the texture, it shows a dark grey with white grid on it.
Only thing I can think of is to check the texture of the block player brush with the 's' key and make sure its pointing to the right path.

Note : some models do just turn up grey in the game, the destroyed jeep is one I can think of. They seem to have lost their textures.

Is there not an easier way to do this. Cause it takes alot of time sizing the invisible_shootable brushes to match every little detail about an object, ie..a jeep.

Nope..

We had started an idea of when your map is finished, send the model + the invisible_shootables as a prefab to foyleman or redrummdk, and as more and more of us accumulate these models, the less work we'll all have to do on future maps.

If anyone is interested in resurecting this idea, start a new thread and we'll get some of these going. I for sure have a jeep one that just needs a bit of modifying and I'll happily share if other are willing as well. (I have to remove the clip from the antenna.. 'too' realistic to run into it all the time.)

From my house map I have the table, the TV, the phone, the comp, monitor and keyboard, outside car, bigscreen TV, taxicab, and lamps already done.

Like I says, I'll happily share, so long as others kick a few in as well. :)

do you have to build it around the model? Or can you just drop a block in the model?

The _block_player texture does indeed block the player but what it doesnt do is block my grenades and bullets.
This also happens with my chainlink fence. Wich tool do I need to block everything for my model. And wich one do I need to block my grenades?

use the invisible_shootable textures instead of block player. They will stop all objects, including bullets and 'nades.
