My models are not solid. I can run into them. Why ? [confused]

That is how the engine works.
You must use clip brushes to make them solid. Model some brushes to rougly resemble the model, give them one of the clip textures and move them inside the model (don't worry about the brushes showing up outside the model, the engine won't render the clip textures).

Hello and thank you for your help.
My english is not very good. I don't know where i can find "clip" textures. i have searched the textures menu but i could not find them.

Import your model, deselect it.
Goto textures menu and load in 'Tools'
Select 'Block Player' texture.
Draw brushes so they match your model and overlap them.
This will block the player from walking through the models.
If its a metal model, you will want to add another textured brush, but this time use the 'invisable shootable' texture with metal so that bullets hitting it will sound like metal and act the same in the ballistics.

I got 1 more problem. The "Block Player texture" is not invisible. It looks like a grid.

What did i wrong ? is this normal ?

you can just use the invisible_shootable brushes.. they will block the player as well as stop bullets.

the block player does not stop bullets and such, only the player, so use carefully

well.....i compilled my map (-bsp -vis -light) but in the game the cubes with the "Blockplayer" texture are solid now, but not invisible (teexture look like a grid) ?!?!?!
what did i wrong
