could someone please help me i have a tank battle working in my map however what i am trying to do is that when one tank is hit i would like it to change to the damaged model. ihave this working kind of with trigger damage if i shoot grenade it or malay it it changes to damaged model however when a tank shoots it it dose not change yet the shot from the tank will hurt or even kill player stood near tank.

this is the scripting i am useing for the tank i asume that the effect of the firing shell is not a projectile or bullet so that is why it will not set off the trigger. So could anyone out there please tell me is ther a way to fire a projectile or bullet to set off the trigger from one point to another.
this is the simple script i use to change good tank to destroyed tank

tank_expload() {
tmodel = getent ("tank_1","targetname");
tmodeln = getent ("tank_2","targetname");
trigdam = getent("trig","targetname");

tmodeln hide();

trigdam waittill ("trigger");
wait 1;

in CoD the way to change a scriptmodel is this:


tmodel setmodel ("xmodel/vehicle_halftrack_d");

this should change the model to a damaged halftrack.
it might work the same in coD2...

i already have the model changing from servicable vehicle to damaged vehicle working perfectly but it only works if i shoot it with a weapon such as rifle/machine gun or grenade it
but when i get the tank to shoot and hit the model it will not change so i am assuming that the shot effex dose not damge the trigger but if a player is stood near the impact from the tank shot it hurts or damages the player i have lowered the trigger damage to its minium but to no avail so please if anyone has some more idears i would be greatful

did you script the tank shooting, or is this an SP thing?

If you scripted it all.. simply script the model change too.
If it's SP.. take a look around at some of the SP scripts.. because it's been done in SP maps if I recall... you might have to alter the trigger settings or something...)
