this post is not directly connected to modding or mapping, but even that could be of good use for it... http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs13/f/2007/028/c/c/chickz_header_by_snuff75x.jpg this image is rendered in 3dmax using vray, but using textured cod² geometry...it is a nice possibility of doing cod² artworks, as you can increase the tesselation of objects, add geometrical details, add real bump and displacement mappings, real reflections, etc. to your cod rendering... how to? read here in the comments, you will find the links to the needed software in it...of course you should not use it to violate anyones copyright, but i think it is ok for cod related artworks/fanart the camera is the fov you have in the game! so if you fly with noclip up above some map, you will be able to grab the whole geometry :D which would make measuring proportions of maps about to be ported from cod1 to cod2 much easier as this was made with a directx grabber, there is one around for opengl games...haven't tried that one out yet tbh...cod² definitly works with the directx grabber... maybe you give it a try, as i did and had my share of fun with it cheers!
