I always use it in the "cam" window, I have seen it not show up other times - same with the suface inspector, if I'm not in the cam windo it will not show up when i hit "s" but then again I have things set up a bit differently see... my setup

I only use one monitor and I still got 800 pixels of width on you.
Here is some useful info. from Lloyd Morris: Not sure if this has been covered yet but one quick way to create a light of the size you want without guessing/calculating values is to create a brush of the size light you want and then right-click and select light entity to convert it to a light.
