i would just like to know how make a simple weapons mod in cod do i just download a software and make a gun then put it in my cod/main folder or what?and also can i get this software for free somehow?

Depends on what you want to mod. If you want to make a completely new weapon you'll have to make it in a 3d modeling program (like Milkshape or 3dStudio Max), export it into CoD, make the animations (reloading, firing etc) make a weaponfile and a menu entry so you can select it.. among other things. Put it all in a .pk3 file and place it in your /main folder Download a custom weapon mod and see what they added in their .pk3 file. If you simply want to edit an existing weapon you only have to extract and alter the weaponfile and place it in a new .pk3 file.
