alright so im following all the steps in the CoD2 Mapping Tutorial in the beginner section. i get down to make the walls and it says ^ERROR bunker_1.iwi is missing or something you can read it on the bottom left on the picture PLEASE HELP

Go to your images folder in your main folder.. make sure the file: "bunker_01.iwi" is there.. if not, open up your asset manager, open the bunker_01.gdt and recompile the texture.. if it doesn't work from that, then delete the .gdt edited on Aug. 28, 2007 03:20 pm by olip123

Do you have any custom mods or maps in your /main folder? If so remove them. I don't have that texture either, but I do not get that error.

I get stuff that say ^1ERROR all the time in that little window. it neverr really effects me, unless it would just not let me use the texture, or if it stalled. only then do I get concerned about it. matter of fact, once you start a new map you should see two of those warnings in a row in your text window/area.

You make your bunker and use a custom texture from a custom map you had in your main. When you removed the map from your main, the textures you used were no longer available. Befor you open Radiant, remove all custom maps and mods from your Main.

i think radiant hates me because i deleted everything(meaning custom maps) and now this message shows up ^3WARNING: File materials/techniques/fakelight_view_dtl.tech, line 17: 'detailScale' is not defined by vertcol_shaded.hlsl if i dont fix it im gunna shoot some one

There's something you must know. Don't try to find errors where's none. Radiant send tons of errors messages of all kind in the form of a warning. These warning are really but really not importants. On the map I'm actually working on, in the bottom box I have: ^3WARNING: File materials/techniques/fakelight_normal_dtl.tech, line 16: 'detailMapSampler' is not defined by vertcol_shaded.hlsl ^3WARNING: File materials/techniques/fakelight_normal_dtl.tech, line 17: 'detailScale' is not defined by vertcol_shaded.hlsl ^3WARNING: File materials/techniques/fakelight_view_dtl.tech, line 16: 'detailMapSampler' is not defined by vertcol_shaded.hlsl ^3WARNING: File materials/techniques/fakelight_view_dtl.tech, line 17: 'detailScale' is not defined by vertcol_shaded.hlsl This is nothing, absolutely nothing. These are warnings that don't effect nothing in your map. Another thing. You don't need any infos from this box...CLOSE IT! If you still looking at this box, you'll become crazy of all the sh**t its contains.
