I got bored one day and decided to make a uboat map since I love the movie Das Boot. It's a Type VII C. Here it is so far: (click on the descriptions to see the images)

Control Room, looking foreward
Officers quarters
Herr Kaleun's cabin
Control Room, looking aft
Petty Officers quarters, looking foreward

Diesels
And yes, the diesels actually run =p
Emotors and aft torpedo room

I might submit it for the contest. What do you guys think about an Allies vs. German sd/assault on the sub?

Hey, Great map. And also for the contest. Sadly, you can't enter it. We sent out a .map file it was the terrain. You had to build the map around that..

Maybe a future contest? I would love to play this map.

Looks great, keep up the great work [cool]
Few tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possable.
2. Don't use comments unless you HAVE to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it orgainized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

Also. For a SD Map, What might be good if. The Germans are in the sub. Then have a script where boats go to the sub and attacks it.

I was thinking about that, and it would be awesome for sd. The only problem is in the other gametypes. In sd you could make the players stay in the raft until it reaches the boat, but in something like team deathmatch where you spawn all over the place, with the fact that there's no swimming in CoD2, would make it a very small map for dm, tdm etc since you'd have to spawn just on the sub. Unless someone wants to write a swimming script ;)

My other idea was to put a sinking ship in front of the uboat like it just sunk it with a torpedo, but that still doesn't get around the swimming thing, and it doesn't really have a good storyline for why the people from the ship would be attacking the uboat. I'm open to ideas if you guys have any suggestions.

One more thing, for those of you who have seen Das Boot, I was going to put a song playing in the sub. Tipperary or J'attendrai?

Well, If the people jump off the boat. there fault, They will die :P

For the DM. I suggest putting boats around the sub. Like the Allies already attacked. And Have people spawn all over.
