I looked in the files of cod4 demo, and I could not find the map, the sounds of the weapons, gsc´s files... where is it?!?! edited on Oct. 24, 2007 10:22 pm by wsa.miller

It is a demo. They arn't just going to give out the .gsc for everthing yet for you to use. They want you to pay for the scripts that they have put time into. With the demo everthing this hard coded into the exe file or in some other file in the iwd's that you can't read or see properly.
Few tips for coding. 1. Keep the script as short as possable. 2. Don't use comments unless you HAVE to point something out. 3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it orgainized and easy to read. These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

if you guys look in this forum, you will find a post by myself showing all the .gsc's and the weapon files.

With the demo everthing this hard coded into the exe file or in some other file in the iwd's that you can't read or see properly. couldn't be much more wrong - sorry... all included *.gsc scripts can be extracted and the guys from modcod4 did that already. nothin' of the game but the core engine is within the exe file. there are no iwd's at all. cod4 (demo) uses fastfiles. these archives are compressed so that they can be directly loaded to ram (performance improvement). there is no decompressor from IW and - at this time - even not from anybody else. you are able to make mem dumps, but getting anything else than plain text extracted seems to be impossible. but: IW will give us everything we'll need for modding - probably bundled with the first patch and the mod tools. real cod fans are going to buy the retail anyway... @wsa.miller: Where is the file / where are the files ;)

the guys at modcod4 did put up all the files. i have seen the .gsc's the iwi's ..that's what i have put in my earlier post for people to see and that's what they were looking for
