Hi guys. i was just wondering is there any way to remove the HUD in singleplayer mode as i can't find anything in the options menu. And is it possible to record the ingame action in differant position in singleplayer mode using fraps??? thanx

while you're playing type: /record "" //in the "" you put whatever you want to name your file.. IE: "testing" would name my demo file "testing.dm_1" I dont know how to load the demos in Single Player, but if you find out, activate cheats /seta thereisacow "1337" //I think thats the command Then while watchin the demo type: /cg_thirdperson "1" /cg_thirdpersonangle "0" //Angle in degrees to position the camera. /cg_thirdpersonrange "100" //Distance from player to position the camera. while you're playing type: /record "" //in the "" you put whatever you want to name your file.. all these cvar commands are making me think that you should try /cg_draw2D 0 <- that IS the command to set the HUD in CoD2. Tam edited on Jan. 7, 2008 09:23 am by tourist.Tam

You should be abnle to load demos by typing: \demo as that's what works in multiplayer. And, could you tell us whether you get good sound quality in the recorded Fraps video?

to be able to playback a demo in cod4 youll need to make a demos folder in your players folder.... and copy you demo files ... from your main demos folder... to the one in your players folder.... if ya get my drift :)

Doesn't recording a demo make a folder anyway? If you record a demo on one profile and try to play it back, it sohuld work right?

yeh it dose m8 it makes a folder in your cod4 main folder i tried to do this a little while ago it would record fine no problem but when i tried to playback my recording would come up with couldnt find demo it was there in my main/demos folder i could see it lol searched the net and found a post on some board saying to make a demos folder in profile folder and place the .dm_1 file or your .spd file in it then use the command /demo blah blah it worked for me lol i thought that was the way we all do it lol

It seems as if they're working on organising the Call of Duty series program files. In the attempt to make the CoD4 files more organized and easy to access, I believe they made it so that CoD4 would read specific things (IE mods, maps, etc) from different folders besides the main folder; though, when they changed CoD4 to read demos only from the Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/players/demos folder, they simply missed changeing the command line in the Call of Duty 4 configs (or wherever they have it programmed to save the demos) to make CoD4 automatically save demos in the Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/players/demos folder. We therefore must manually move the files in order to view them. It's not difficult, just one of those little pet-peves. To playback a demo in CoD4, you must first locate the folder: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/main/demos or if you recorded the demo while playing in a specific mod: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/mods/modname/demos Then select the demo file that you wish to playback (or you can select all of the demo files) and right-click > Cut. Now locate (or create) the folder: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/players/demos Open that folder and right-click > paste. Load CoD4 and while you're viewing the main menu, open the console (Press "~") and type: /demo demoname //The demo name is whatever you decided to name the demo, IE: "/record blue" would name the demo "blue" so when you wish to playback the demo you would youse "/demo blue" There is a program out there to auto playback demos for you, all you have to do is point the program to your demo file and it will do the rest for you, including activate the ability to change playback speed, camera angles, etc. I will find this link later today and post it her. It is a very useful program for Fraps recordings.
