ok ive been all over to forums and everbody has a differnt way but they did not work start out go to your server, go to ftp,open cod4 ,open main now in your "main" create a folder called "usermaps" in there make folder "mp_mymap"(mp_subway) not"mp_subway_beta" or "subway" spell same as ff file !! this should be the path cod4/main/usermaps/mp_mymap inside put all ff_file ff_file_load and iwd (some have only ff files thats ok) make differnt folders for every map!! now restart server they will now show up in map select screen !! they will work and download just like cod2 (it makes a folder on your game next to your main that ok) your game is differnt than public servers ok now to get it to work on your www downloader do this make a folder "cod4" open it make a folder "usermaps" open it make a folder for each map "mp_mymap" upload to your map in to the named map folder need new folder for every map this work's for modded servers and i am working on the none modded servers and will update when i figer it out servers next good luck edited on Jan. 29, 2008 03:49 pm by COLMAC

ok update still having problems with the ff file only maps but the maps that have the ff, ff load, and iwd work fine second these maps will run on stock servers just add the gametype war map mp_mymap to the server rotation line and it will show up in your rcon map change ps i use HLSW 1.2.0.2

where do the .ff files go and IWD's.tried every combination i can think of....No good read me's and steps to take.come on dude give us a hint?

In your server config running from your mod server folder, include this line of script..... // Client Download Settings. yes i was about to update that if your running a mode its just like the tut but i have none modded servers as well so to run on stock servers you only need the usermaps in the cod4 next to main cod4/usermaps yes that easy make folders of your map name ! then put all files in . modded servers in your main cod4/main/usermaps ( please note that i have only got maps that have ff, load_ff and iwd to work ) edited on Jan. 29, 2008 06:02 pm by COLMAC

COLMAC do u realize that whatever u r talking about only 20% of the noobs are getting it? or may be less...no offense man. but u see its so frustrating when 100 ppl write the same stuff but without making it simple. again i apologize for saying that but what servers what ftp r u talking about? and also what modded servers and what not. if u know what u r doing plz make a video tutorial and end our misery. i've been oh this topic for several days and all i learned is "usermaps" ".ff" and recently "moded servers" and who knows what else i'll learn to make myself more confused.
