Hi everyone, first post so be gentle.

I have downloaded a few custom mp maps and have followed the instructions as to how to install the maps, I have created a folder usermaps under the call of duty 4 folder and then created another folder with the maps name in that folder, structure as follows....

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps\nameofmap\

Then in that folder is the .ff files.

For some reason, when I load up the game it doesn't see the maps in the list, so, I have tried various things, like putting the .iwd files into the folder, putting the same folder into the mod directories and running the mods, everything, but, still, no new maps being seen, I have updated the patch to 1.5 and have got the mod tools installed, does anyone know where I might be going wrong ?

Hey,

Put your .ff files in usermaps\nameofmap
Put the .iwd file in Mods\ModWarfare

Run modwarfare
If it is not showing up in the list, open your console with ~ (left of the 1) and put this in it /map mp_nameofmap

greetz,

Haggis

Thanks, managed to get them working using that method.

Any idea on how to get them to show up in the list or is that not possible ?

Does not work yet,

with 1.5 it is not neccessary needed to put the iwd in the mod folder, rest is the same

Ah, right, okay, thanks.

One last question.....

Do I have to launch a mod to play the custom maps or can I play with them on standard multiplay ?

I haven't been able to play any custom maps either. Did everything it says to do but no good.
