Hey guys thanks for all the responses! Unfortunately I am still having some trouble getting it working. Drexton are you saying to make a map in radiant with only the destructible car in it and then loading that into your map that you are building?? I tried that and it gives me an unrecoverable error. Thanks for the help!

Its now 12:41pm eastern usa time, I will be around for the next 6 hours. If anyone that knows how to do this reads this in that time, post here and maybe I can talk you into coming on teamspeak or yahoo phone or im or something and talk me through it as I can't get it to work! lol got to love this radiant!!

Sorry for answering Drex...

No, he is saying the exact opposite. Just add the vehicle_blah_blah_destructable.map prefab directly into your map.

First, compiling reflections with an exploding vehicle in the map will cause an error unless you follow THIS.

Then...

Make sure to:
1. compile
2. compile reflections
3. build fast file
4. run the selected map
5. let it error
6. get out
7. update your zone file,
8. Re-Build Fast File
9. Go back in and the map and it should run but the effects will be missing when you blowup the car so...
10. Blowup the cars and go back and begin at step 6, 7 and 8 again.

Note: If nothing shows up in your missingassets.csv then look in the /Mods/custommaps/ folder and see if there is a copy there. If so and it's full of stuff relating to xmodel and car parts, copy and paste it into the "main" folder overwriting that copy. Now your missing assets will show up in the tools when you update the zone source file.

The first time you update the zone source it will add all the car parts. The second time, after blowing up the car, it will add the effects.

If there is no assets to update during step 7 above(both times), you are not going to get it to work...

UncleBone said it right. It's a long and stupid process to get them to work but if you follow his outline they *should* work. Of course, no promises. Destructible cars can lead to a lot of [banghead] .

Not to rehash what was said but, how do you get into the game to play if the error (glass_front_d) pops up and doesn't allow you to enter the game to do steps 6,7 and 8. I don't see any missing assets. Why do they not show?

Also, copying the mentioned file is an IWD file. It has a bunch of computer language in it.

Still getting this error. Could you explain a little better how to fix this? I can't really follow all the prefab stuff you're talking about.

I get this error, too. Compiled bsp, cpmpiled reflections, build fast file, run = error, update zone file, build ff again, run =error when loading map. Do not get into game to all the other steps mentioned above.

Every help would be great
