Right i had ths problem way back but i must have fixed it or it just went away,but its back

when i make changes to my map then compile it again to apply them it just speeds throught the process not really doing it then goes straight to the in game menu!
so i go in to maps/mp/ & deleate the original d3d.bsp file & any other referances to my map then try to compile it again but still the same problem , so i reinstalled the tools and then it worked, but as soon as i made some more changes & compile again its the same loop again what if any should i deleate i dont want to have to install tools evertime just to compile changes [mad]

Any errors in the compile log??

Have the Compile bsp options ticked? Lighting? etc

When I have had the problem I had a orphan misc_prefab hanging out on my map. Got rid of the misc_prefab cube and it compiled correctly.

make sure you have all models/prefabs inside your skybox, and that they are all named(as in no red squares that say misc_model), and that your spwn points are not in a floor and/or wall. I had this problem and i found a spwnpoint in the floor and that seemed to fix it. If that dosnt work, try saving it under a new name.

P.s check your for errors during compile.

The main Compile error you should be checking for will be near the top of the log.

**LEAKED***

If it says that, then you should do what ovekim said. Check nothing is outside, touching, passing through your skybox.

thanks for the Very quick response
the thing is that the map was compiled jus about a hour ago ,it went fine ,since then no major changes have been done ,just cosmetic & stuff
the compile reads no errors its like its just pretending to do it takes like 5 seconds ,normal time it about 30mins and shows small errors ,but nothing that stops it working

now looking for the 3d3.bsp.file its not creating one
all im getting is the AUTO_GRID.file
& this GRID_NOT.file this is somthing that ive never seen before

Slightly off topic, I had the same problem by the way.

Anyways off topic "quote" no red squares that say misc_model.

Is it necessary to name them?

thanks for your help guys but i found the problem
it was one of the prefabs that i ripped from blackout ,safehouse i edited it & removed the doors so i teams could get in to do mission objectives ,that building has been nothing but trouble from the start always causing errors
so i replaced it
