This tutorial will show your how to make brushes have circular edges, A.K.A, curbs using the clipping tool ; the good old fashioned way.
This can help you make archways, arched doorways, curbed sidewalks and many other useful things.

TUTORIAL:

1)Make a Simple Flat Brush ; 8 units high , 240 units long and 144 units wide. (These numbers are not necessary they are just a basic flat brush.

2)Enter the XY Top view and use shift + D to rotate it until you see a rectangular shape on your grid.

3)Use your clipping tool CTRL + Click. Put the starting point of the cut at the top left edge and finish the cut at a good distance from the bottom left edge (bottom line of brush) Hit shift enter to keep both sides of your cut.

4)Now make another cut ; Start the cut one grid point under the starting point of your first cut. And finish the cut one grid point after the finishing cutpoint of your first cut. Shift+ enter to keep both sides.

5)Do the same thing again… make a third cut, Start the cut one grid point under the starting point of your second cut and finish it one grid space after your second finishing cutpoint. Shift + ENTER.

6)Repeat with your fourth cut.

7)Keep doing this until you have done all your starting point cuts until the bottom of the brush

8)Now delete all your cuts which should still be selected and you’ve got yourself a nice curbed brush

Nice thought m8
But
you never want to do many cuts like that on a brush any curves or bends you want to do is best done with the terrain patch mesh or even better the curve patch mesh
its quicker and a lot better to do and you get a much nicer look in game using the curve patch mesh over a brush

That does seem a very messy way to achieve that finish, the same effect can made much easier and quicker isinng a mesh as described in above posts..

Did you not get any errors on compile for this brush?

oki doke, my bad, no i get no errors compiling, and it actually looks pretty great. It's just that originally i never knew how to make curbs until about a few weeks ago and i learned the terrain way, but i hate working with terrain so i did it this way, for me it only takes about 2 minutes to do and looks great, Sorry guys, just trying to post different ways on how to do stuff.

Thanks for looking!

I did use to do it that way, infact for somethings I like doing it that way but the inverse for tunnels ect you can't use it, so learning the more difficult (to start with) of dealing with curve patch (then converting curve to terrain which eliminates the need to play about with vertices), really does pay off in the end.
