While testing for other ways of breaking stuff up, i stumble on the dynamic brush in Radiant....

its extremely easy to use, does not require any scripting (but the usual maps\mp_load::main(); in your map GSC)

See what you can do now (sorry for bad video quality)

Best for tutorial is to download the prefabs and have a look, the ones i made are really basic but you imagine what can be achieve with this ;D

Each dynamic brush can have its own FX generated, health (for damage after a few hits), physic properties (raw/physic folder has lots and you can create your own)

I'll create a tutorial if i get some time tomorrow but i am sure you can figure it out yourselves, its that easy ;)

got my hopes too high ... apparently the dynamic brushes are cleint-side so a player joining late in the game would see the brushes back to their original spot ... will see if i can confirm this

thx for sharing zeroy

a big problem of dynamic brushes (with physics) is the missing collision with player, nades, each other etc. Worry there is no way arround. Some kind of "static collision" could be done via script (clip brushes turned into script_brushmodels). And they seem to be client-side as zeroy mentioned.

lol seems a bit old not beign able to. in css you can make a ladder thats solid u can climb it but also someone can shoot lats off it. so i guess this isnt possible in cod4 or no one has yet fathemed it out ?

that can be easily done, just make the lats a dynamic brush model
