Hey, Is it possible to import models from cod2 to cod4? I want some sandbags in my map but I only find the grey/yellow one, but I want the nice yellow one from toujane. But when I place the xmodel from cod2 in cod4 I get this error: Code: Loading model military_sandbag_desert_longsection...ERROR: xmodel 'military_sandbag_desert_longsection' out of date (version 20, expecting 25). ERROR: Cannot find xmodel 'military_sandbag_desert_longsection'. failed. What can I do? greetz, Haggis

I think you can only do it if you have the source the the models, and as no-one has the source of the stock cod2 models, you won't get em

You can't use cod2 models directly. First you have to export them with the xmodel-exporter to .obj files (you'll find the xmodel-exporter here). Then open the .obj file with Maya and export it for CoD4. Search for the iwi files of the models skin and create dds-files from them. Now use the AssetManager to convert the dds-files to CoD4 textures (images and materials) and also use the AssentManager to create your CoD4 xmodel (with the xmodel_export file you got from Maya). edited on Mar. 8, 2008 07:51 pm by OLD_MAN_WITH_GUN

many of us dont have maya export and it would be cool if you could put those files in uploader as prefab matierals or someone could do the hole export i would love to make cod2 for cod4 maps most common things to use would be old cars tanks and halftracks as the trucks arre already in cod4
