Axis side of the map is starting to look good.

Just to give a quick update on this project -

I've been told that if the ff file of the finished map is over a certain limit (50meg i think), the map wont work on linux servers.

As it stands, the only way we can make doneck work is to remove the middle part of the map, remove all the buildings around the borders and remove all the exploder's.....
even then we're not sure it'll be under the limit.

So....we've decided to shelf the release of this one and wait for the next COD - hopefully we'll be able to port it over in all its glory D

aww thats too bad man, this looks like its one of the best maps, if not thι best to come out :\..
isn't there some way to bypass that restriction (yes I am willing ot download very long)

I really don't know enough about that side of the process to know if theres a way around the size limit. Rabbit seems pretty certain its fixed.......

Its a shame, most of it's finished, all the gametypes are done, aircraft are in, layouts finished......just the minimap, borders and final detailing to do :(

Hmm...I guess you could split it up into two maps, doneck_a and doneck_b, like Bog in SP, if you're up to it.

mp_creek is over 50MB ( the .ff only )
mp_carentan ( Chinatown ) is also over 50MB

Yes, some of the stock ones are much bigger than 50meg. I don't understand why custom ones wont work

What happens when you try to compile it?

Edit: try compiling it as a col_map_sp, could work
