I have a question we are creating a prefab of a pool with the intention of having water flowing into it.
I have found the FX file i want to load but am unsure of how exactly this is done in a prefab.

I have added rain & thunder & barrels with fire etc but this defines & loads the effects using the gsc file for the level.


How do i get the effect into the prefab so that every time the prefab is added i don't have to specify the location of the fx, in the level, as it is already defined in the prefab & therefore the level.

As a prefab does not have fast files how can i call the FX using the "levels" gsc file?

Do i have to link the fx to a script origin in the prefab? If so how.....
If not how is this done.

I saw there is a tut for the barrels so try it first
the rest you can do on the same way if you know what effects you are needed!

I can do the Barrels that isn't a problem, the problem is the Waterfall is in a prefab, not a map, so how do i link them, as the prefab does not get compiled with its own gsc file.

To run effects on prefabs, create your prefab be it a script_model or script_brushmodel with the Targetname or script_noteworthy depending on which you use. If triggers are included add those as well again with targetname or script_noteworthy. Link if called for otherwise save as is to a prefab. Make sure your script is included and loaded into your main.gsc and update your zone file.

He just says what you need to do.
But it also depends on the script you use so if you post the script we can may help you more then this.
