Hey guys, i have a large update for you here, just a bunch of screenshots of the new areas, i have now linked the back of the map (swamp) all the way to the front (dock/cliff), this area is known as the coastline, basically a large area of beach with few obsticles for cover







Another new area is the underground bunker, it runs from the coast all the way under the map basically creating entrances all over the place making for easy assault yet hard defence, there are only a few screenies of the main bunker areas.








All inside areas a portalled, going to redo the outside portals as my average fps outside is between 70-90 whiule inside i get about 400

Also sorry some are a little dark, night shots never come out that clear, anyways as always appreciate any feedback..

wow looking good mate! one thing though in that second pic after the second para it looks like you have some SAM sites? am i correct? if so they would not be that close to shore and they sure as hell wouldnt be inside. but from wat i see everything else seems spot on! keep up the awesome work.

btw any ETA on this? look forward to playing it

Nice going Rasta, great to see another sp mapper join the ranks. I also love big open fields...but I'm telling you, it's a b***h to script lol

You are right about the sam site, i wanted a coastal gun like in the old games but couldn't find anything, dont suppose you know of any?

Thanks bud, i enjoy SP a lot more you can do, i had been scripting the sp as i went along but since i have developed the map so much it started to become all messy so i have removed all sp ents and am gonna start it again, shouldn't be too bad and will give a much better storyline. I am also thinking if the sp map is popular to make a mp version, it would suit some great gameplay especially for s&d.

well are you going for the ww2 theme? if so zeroy has figured out how to import cod2 models into cod4

theres a tut.
but if your going for a modern setting then there most likely wouldnt be any large coastal guns. and if its an old abandoned strong hold then there wouldnt be any old artillery peices left just to rust. so really id just leave the bunkers empty of any cannons. but hey not my map. good luck with the rest of it anyway!

Yes i agree with what your saying, i just cant accept that cod turned modern[lol], suppose ill leave it empty or maybe add an mg, though don't no if any of you other sp mappers have had any luck but i just can't get a turret to work with script probs..

Hey guys, i know i been quite lately but it has come to my attension that i have not enough free time to put into single player even though thats what i most enjoy, instead of wasting the map i am in the process of turning it multiplayer,

The ambient and world setting have completly changed, due the size and scale of the map i had to create a foggy atmosphere to aid the culling of models, theres a bland of wide open space, to close dark (some areas in the bunkers require nightvision to navigate) bunkers

Anyway check out the screens and i would love to hear some feedback. Also i never actually play multiplayer for cod4 now so if anyone could refresh my memory of what objedtives require what in map ide appreciate it.



























Few other things, the map will be large in size when released all though free time is hard to find so no release estiamte yet, sorry.

I'm also keeping a look out for anyone kind enough to have a go at creating a nice modern funky loadscreen and also a few beta testers (preferably people well know too modsonline)
