Ok so this has been my secound attempt on this, and it always seems to stretch out when my map loads. It cuts out the images and in the secound attempt it cutted out the web link.

Ive followed the IW tutorial, set it to 24bit target ( .tga ) and a size of 1024x1024 pixels. and stil it stretches :(

So this is what the loadscreen looks like so far, You can see its been stretched out and its cut out some of the pics.

So is there anyway to prevent this? or do people just simply ignore it and allow it to be like this?

Cheers,
Arkadian

Appears to be the resolution you play the game in. Do you have a widescreen monitor?

yer its a 22" widescreen. but when others load it up it looks streched to them too.

But the pic was resized to 1024x1024 and then converted. yet it stil seems to cut out the sides.

Ah, yeah, I think it's supposed to do that. I could be wrong, but every loadscreen I've made removes the edges, so I have to make sure that text starts a bit from each of the sides. Not sure, other than that. Nice job on the loadscreen, though. :)

Yer, I just figered that everyone has just simply ignored the stretches and made sure all the text is in the middle. Which probably what will be changed.

Also I didn't make the load screen lol, Another clan member did it. I just make the maps [lol].

Thanks for ya help tho mate [thumbs_up]

I fixed this proble by placing my loadscreen on a backround in photoshop...Make your loadsreen 1024x800 (it looks smashed but will stretch), place that, centered on a 1024x1024 blank backround (any color, I used black) when the screen stretches, it only cuts off the backround & your screen will fit & look perfectly fine..[thumbs_up]

Good to know, kma. :)

I'll try this out on my own, as well.

np..I should of said: make the loadscreen 1024x1024, then resize it to 1024x800 so it does look smashed....if u make it 1024x800 in the first place it will fit but look stretched..

So basically we aren't resizing the canvas to 1024x800, but just the image within the canvas. It's still a 1024x1024 canvas, correct?

Yes, resize the original loadscreen & place it on the 1024x1024 canvas/backround...
