Hi, I'd like to be able to disable the check for pixel shader 3 that CoD4 is trying when lauching. Any suggestion (apart from buy yourself a new piece of hardware) is welcome. regards, Tam edited on May. 12, 2008 07:38 am by tourist.Tam

I wouldn't have thought it is possible to remove any of the system checks due to the security and the fact that it checks the spec of your system to see if the software can run. Though im not completly sure on this.

You can not disable Pixel Shader 3. Secondly you can not run CoD 4 without Pixel Shader 3. Like Rasta wrote.

And I've come to the conclusion that "pixel shader 3" is just another fanciness graphical technology that is just getting in my way to have my current rig to run CoD4. And before you point out, rightfully to one of the numerous web page regarding the minimum system requirement, I have to let you know that I have checked many of them and did more research about the why it would run on system that have intergrated graphic chipset, allegedly a 3100 intel GPU for laptop. see this youtube vid for example. Btw, this chipset is supporting "pixel shader 3", but not my GF FX5900. Shame, isn't it? :p Now I will thank you, because you just gave me the idea of looking into the details offered by this technology as opposed to let other blind people to lead me (I've got to open my eyes first of course). ;) Regards, Tam
