You are updating your fastfile right? I can't see why you should get this error though i am so tired i could miss anything at the moment.

Yes I believe I'm building the fast file right. I managed to get rid of the error by deleting the thread my_door(); from the .gsc but then the door doesn't work.

Thats because you are no longer calling the level function. You could try calling it with 'level thread my_door();', but i cant see that making any difference, ill take another quick look at that script.

I just skimmed the posts (so sue me LOL), but in one of your first attempts, you got an error "uninitialized variable doortrigger"... that was because you had it as "doortriggers" in a few spots and referred to "doortrigger" in one spot.... Don't know if you have solved this problem but I had the same issue. (cannot cast undefined to string - from your screen shot) I had somehow named one of my ceiling fans to doortrig. Once I changed it to something else it fixed the problem. Trying to cast a fan object to a trigger caused the problem I guess. Make sure you haven't made the same mistake. also you have this line which call the first error doortriggers thread door_think(); there should be a space here and no "s" as rasta pointed out doortrigger thread door_think();
