Okke I've two problems:
1. I want the AI to move on when I trigger the trigger, but can't get it to work ??
2. Still can't get the portals to work. Follewed tuts but still get the error: 'same cell on both sides'.

Please help me out

1. Have you seen the CoD4 tutorial? Beginners guide to AI paths. Be sure you have the .gsc with maps\mp\_load::main(); in it.

2. Think of portals at flat walls, or a 2D object. + is what it should look like where 4 portals connect. Make sure you are using portal_nodraw along with portal. There should only be one face of a brush that is textured portal.

The error you are getting is where a portal can see its other side.

Portals make the map into different 'cells'. The map without portals is one big cell. Make portals and it makes the map into two, three, four, ect cells. I will try and find you a good example of how portals work.

Few tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possable.
2. Don't use comments unless you HAVE to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it orgainized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

For the portal tutorial TC is talking about, here it is -Link-

On this first image, this is just two simple portals separating the two rooms into 3 different cells.

On this next image is what 4 portals meeting at one point looks like.

Going with that, these pictures show the portal textures selected.

ERRORS:
here is a few things that cause errors.
First is the ERROR: portal has the same cell on both sides, portal ignored.

ERROR: second overlapping portal

Hope this helps clear up some things. [thumbs_up]

Thanks for the help so far.
The AI works good but the portals are still giving the error: 'portal has the same cell on both sides'.

Here is my map file: but only the first house has portals!
