I can no longer launch the game through the editor, even
with the developer modes unchecked.
It will launch in a mod, but when you first enter the game
the minimap is all stretched in the weapons selection and
in game. I have to do a /map_restart and this fixes the proplem,
but now in the minimap it shows the player standing beside a
bunker when actually in game hes 20 to 30 feet away.
I tried adjusting the compass distance in the main .gsc with no
luck.

This is the first time I've created a minimap after installing the 1.7patch, never attempted it with the other patches.

Thanks in advance.......

seems to me u have ur pic over stretch....you should try and get ur minimap pic to be within the boundaries of 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048....i had my map stretched and players where not showing up where they were suppose to be but that was because it wasnt in the boundaries. gl

Currently i created my minimap 512x512.
So what your suggesting is maybe try a smaller size...say 256x256?

Another thing is the set scr_minimap_hieght 10000 isnt high
enough to see the entire map. If i go higher say 15000....Will this
effect the minimap image any in game?

im not suggesting to use any smaller size just saying that if you do use w/e size u selected to keep the minimap within those boundaries, thats mostly where u have to do it in your photoshop or ur image editing program. If you need to go higher plz do so, so that you can get the pic of your entire map in there, that should help you a lot.

Thanks Void for the responses. :)

Been doing some searching over at IW and noticed
something about the script_origin placement.
Currently my skybox is slightly larger then the map,
and have placed the origins in opposite corners of the sky box.
Going to try and move them in a bit closer to the actual map itself and move them under neath the map.
Also noticed in other peoples posts of the images the white box
is around their map were as mine is on a 45degree angle to the map itself.

In my experience, using anything other than a height of 10,000 when taking your pic will give you the improperly calibrated map image you are talking about.

To properly adjust the white box size, go into your .map and move the minimap corners out far enough so that they will encompass your entire playable map. The minimap corners define the corners of your white box, I believe. (Imagine straight lines at 90 angles from the minimap corners).

I've tried moving the script_origins in closer to the actual map. This
what i ended up with. Notice the white lines on either side, these are part of the white box and my map is on a 45 degree angle.
I adjust the screen so the words "this side up" were at the top pf my screen.

i got to agree with him...the minimap corners have to be moved to fix the minimap angle.
