Hi there all, does anyone have the rescripted mp_rhinevalley.gsc [read] that allows you to get on the roofs in the town,
i tried putting this in from awe :-fixExploits() {
//fix by innocent bystander, www.after-hourz.com

// Block roofs in town for linux
level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4074,-8204,2329), (60,1,40));
level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4126,-8177,2300), (1,65,80));
level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4300,-7282,2295), (1,350,40));

but to no avail the coordinates are spot on in 'viewpos' cmd cuz i checked. Any info would be very greatfull especially the .gsc, thanks[thumbs_up]

I'm confused, you want to be able to get on the rooftops but you added in the lines to block them off?

thanks for the reply Lee, ok forget the script bit about blocks, what i should have said was . . .'what do i change or add in the mp_rhinevalley.gsc to get on the roofs' (i just spotted the block lines in awe svr mod so i assumed it was that! sorry for that) thanks [wink]

I haven't really looked though the .cfgs thoroughly to see exactly what maps had exploits fixed

If you want acess to the roofs in while running awe 2.12, find this line in either awe.cfg or server.cfg

// Fix map exploits in some UO maps (0 = no, 1 = yes) (default 1)
//set awe_fix_map_exploits "1"

and change the 1 to a 0

if you just want rhinevalley rooftops opened up and the rest of the blocks, whatever they may be, to remain, you are going to have to upload an edited mod to your server

pack it back to a .pk3, upload to server , and run
go into w_awe_uo_svr_v2.12.pk3\maps\MP\mp_rhinevalley.gsc
and remove these three lines only

level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4074,-8204,2329), (60,1,40));
level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4126,-8177,2300), (1,65,80));
level thread maps\mp\_exploit_blocker::blockBox((-4300,-7282,2295), (1,350,40));

put the .pk3 back together, upload it to your server, and run

You shouldn't actually need to fiddle with awe pk3 at all. Put the modified gsc file in a pk3 that loads AFTER the awe pk3.

Yeehaww done it! i forgot to save the edited awe.cfg [duh] . . . . my bloody trademark that, thanks for the replys anyway chaps, gonna have a bash at unblocking some blockboxes in some other maps now dunno if possible but 'what the ekk' it's worth a shot
