Hi, i have created a model in maya for the kar98k, and i tried creating a mod to include the model in, but when i equipped the kar98k, i was holding a red thing:




i am a complete noob at this sort of thing, and was wondering if anybody could create this mod for me if i sent them the kar98k model. i would very much appreciate it.

i would like to replace the r700 with the kar98k, because the reloading actions are similar, and almost nobody uses the r700.


also, if soembody does this for me, could they record themselves doing it? so that i know what to do in the future.

Have you updated your zonefile for the new weapon info? that red thing is a default fx model when something is missing

thanks, i used the mod tools to make the mod, can i update the zonefile with that? i cannot check myself atm coz i recently formatted and need to reinstall.

yes there are a few things missing, woudlnt have a clue on how to fix it. i also noticed that the kar98k model i made is not in the mod folder, and im guessing it needs to be. where would i put it?

Zeroy did what you're trying to do with the scoped Kar98k. You can download his mod here:

He was kind enough to include all the files that go into this type of mod. All you'll need to do is write the .bat file that makes the mod.ff.

thanks a lot, but the making of the mod.ff is the only part i am having problems with.

We will be happy to help you with all your modelling needs, and getting them ingame.

We'd prefer to do it on our forums as this forum software is not really image friendly, as it squashes the images until you cant really make them out.
