Do you know how when you approach a dropped weapon, there is a little "hint" that tells you that it's on the ground, and then you press "use" to pick it up? I would like to eliminate this feature in the interest of realism. How would I do that?

You could try giving it a cursor hint of none. key: cursorhint Value: HINT_NONE Also is your profile name really appropriate? Not my job to say but it's just i have a little kid who reads these forums.

It's a value you to an entity to do it have your weapon selected and press 'N' I'm not sure it will work on a weapon but worth a try.

These hints appear to be in cgame.str in localized_english_pakuo01.pk3 - make a mod that replaces this file with your modded version. Oh, and I agree about the name. general99 wasn't my first choice either. edited on Jul. 28, 2008 11:58 pm by general99
