My Compassmap is not lining up in a map I'm working on. The player indicator is out of sync with the minimap image. I don't recall having this problem before. I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the image lined up right. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can you post what you did to fix the problem, please? Quick! I'm going bald. [lol]

check if the worldspawn settings have a 'northyaw' value in them.

If it does, remove it.

If it doesn't, you can add a northyaw value to 'rotate' the map relative to the compass image so they line up. Ie a northyaw of 90 will rotate the map 90degrees to the right compared to the compass

The image is facing the right direction, but nearing the edges it gets way out of sync. Towards the center of the image it gets a little more accurate, but still not exact. That's the best I seem to be able to do no matter what I try. [duh]

what minimap height did u use for minimap screenshot?

u could try a manual fix
setminimap:

SetMiniMap( «material name», «upper-left x», «upper-left y», «lower-right x», «lower-right y» )

Summary: Sets the info for the satelite map on the compass.

Example:
SetMiniMap( "compass_map_default", 12672, 5824, -4224, -11072 );

Required Args:

* 1 : The name of the satelite map material
* 2 : X-coordinate of the world location of the upper-left corner of the material
* 3 : Y-coordinate of the world location of the upper-left corner of the material
* 4 : X-coordinate of the world location of the lower-right corner of the material
* 5 : Y-coordinate of the world location of the lower-right corner of the material

I've tried various minimap heights. But ultimately I only go high enough until I can see the white border and "this side up".

I'll try the manual settings and see how that goes. Thanks.

i had this issue before too, what could help you is to edit your compass image to make it fit better - real dirty solution tho...
