I've got a problem that I can't start compile tools. Whenever I try it gives me an error saying: Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927f26e) Radiant works fine it's just the compile tools. I did re-install the mod-tool and the game but still it wouldn't work. Can anyone help me?

Try disabling any anti-virus, spyware, and firewalls.

Corrupt driver/exe somewhere somehow or possible conflict; in any case this is not a modtools specific error. Your best bet might be in a uninstall of the .Net libraries and a clean re installation of them. It could be that another software that you would have installed recently have corrupted the modtools. With as little information as you have given us, one can only wonder .... So have you ever compiled any map before (ever/on this configuration/on this machine/recently)? Which OS are you running (Vista/WinXP)? Tam

Tam is right, the only way you get an error when starting up the editor is because you don't have the .NET thingy, as far as I know.

i'm using windows xp and it did work once, so i compiled a map then but it stopped working the next day, i'm not sure what happened for it to stop working. I'll try to sort out the .net thing. My NVIDIA Network bus enumerator driver is out of date, would that affect it. Anything else you wanna know? edited on Aug. 28, 2008 03:08 pm by BlindSniper

Maybe you have a mod installed in your folder that is causing problems (they auto-download from servers), if you need your map compiled you can send it to me, XFIRE = Jeannotvb With this PC I can compile maps with 8000 brushes and 800 models in less then 8 minutes. edited on Aug. 28, 2008 03:13 pm by jeannotvb

I am just wondering: is that the complete error message you have? I can't seem to find any reference to anything else than what I have suggested earlier on about the .Net Runtime Environment. Just to make sure you could check the "event viewer" as described there: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427 Tam
