Hey there...

When I try to run my level after all of the compiling (WHich seems to run through just fine) The level seems to load up but as the progress bar reaches the end, Backlot begins to load.

I didn't think it is a leak as I have gone through the map over and over.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please help.

Can upload the level if that would help.

Type /sv_maprotation mp_yourmapname
Then /map mp_yourmapname (or /devmap mp_yourmapname if you wan't cheats enabled)

It's a common 'error' - has nothing to do with your map.
You can also try going to 'Mods' in the menu, then launch 'Custommaps' (or atleast I think that's what it's called).

I tried the custom map angle. when I do that, I am assuming I start a server and then try to load my map? WHen I do that it does not show up. Someone said on one of the boards that... It could be a spawn point issue.

I have the global intermission and the mp_tdm_spawn in the map. When it is like that... the map seems to compile correctly but jumps to backlot.

I do get a bunch of missing assets though when I update the zone file:

Now... I also tried to add

MP -> TDM -> Spawn
then MP -> TDM -> Spawn -> axis_start
then MP -> TDM -> Spawn -> allies_start

I get a "Can't find spawn point" error when I compile reflections.

Believe it of not, this is for work. It is a map of our building. (The boss is a gamer) so, any help would be appreciated.

If you have missing zonefiles just update them.

Try making more spawnpoints (atleast 3 of every type) - don't forget to launch the map in TDM mode since you only have TDM spawns, if you run the map on deathmatch it ain't going to work.

If that doesn't work send me the map and i'll chek it out.

OK...

I got the level bit figured out. It DOES make a difference if you are using caps vs lower case in the name apparently.

One last query for the moment...

When I am in the map, my weapon is all shiney/mother of pearly/rainbow like. Any ideas on this one?

Yes.
I added them by the spawn points.

l also did the following:

You need to create a grid file. In the Compile tools on the Level Compiling window, the bottom right has the option to Start Grid. Perform this option and completely run through your level. Let the level complete on it's own and do not close it before it completes.

But I still have the rainbow effect.

Now, I do get an error that states the following:

You need a standard .gsc (a file that contains your scripts) to let the game load the extra things it needs in order to run your level:

The above text goes into a text document... you then change the ".txt" to "mp_alpha_g.gsc" and place it in the raw/maps/mp directory and then re-build your fast file.
