Modsonline and myself (foyleman) have been personally attackedagain. I do not care to respond to those attacking, but feel the needto let you, the Modsonline members, hear my position on the matter. Iknow some of you have asked and I hope this clears up the situation.
Thismorning in the forums, someone asked about the prefabs that are missingfrom the Call of Duty: World at War tools. It was a simple post askingwhere they were. The first to reply was SparkyMcSparks who posted thatdocumentation on creating prefabs could be found in the sd.gsc. Not anin-depth answer, but also not rude. It was the posts that followed thatcaused another member to bring this topic to my attention as an admin.
Itis important to note before I continue that SparkyMcSparks also works forTreyarch. He is a community manager and mostly in charge of managingthe wiki provided by Treyarch and other similar web-type stuff. He wasalso a tester for the tools that we now have, although a tester doesn'tnecessary imply he had any power over what we received. Really, wedon't know what the testers did, had to work with, or any other detailsother than that his name is in the credits for having tested thosetools. No doubt we will never truly know thanks to today's NDAs andsuch.
So back to the posts, another member replied, "in otherwords make them yourself" and mentioned that Treyarch didn't includeany prefabs. This is as nice as the following posts got. The next postswent as follows:
Blame for the missing prefabs was placed directly on SparkyMcSparks. This did not answer the topic of the post and was somewhat argumentative and therefore deleted per the rules of these forums.
The next post brings up subjects from a previously locked topic. SparkyMcSparks is then blamed for having the ability to release a Zombie map with another mapper that worked. Note that other mappers are unable to properly create a zombie map (missing sounds). Also note that this map in question has since been removed from the internet for copyright issues. Again, the details of this situation are hazy at best, but also the post doesn't help resolve the topic at hand about prefabs. It was therefore deleted.
SparkyMcSparks attempted to defend himself and mentions here that he does indeed have an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). This could be why the zombie map he previously created worked and then was pulled from the internet as it may break some of those rules in the NDA. Again... speculation. Also, again... off topic, not helpful, deleted.
SparkyMcSparkscontinued to reply to the attacks. Unhelpful, not important to making maps, deleted.
Someone claims that SparkyMcSparks supports piracy (indirectly due to an inappropriate post by SparkyMcSparks) because he knows a pirate (I've heard this argument before from the same poster about myself). But also mentions that the mapper SparkyMcSparks worked with on his Zombie map outright states that he has the "full tools" what ever those may be. I don't know if "full tools" refers to what we have now, but before we had them, or if they mean an unabridged version of tools that we will never see. Helpful to the poster? not really... deleted.
The poster reminds SparkyMcSparks of previously unwarrented comments (that since have finally been brought to the attention of an admin have been deleted). Then posts an off-site solicitation that is obviously a means of slamming this site while promoting another. At least it seemed obvious to me. Of course, I see this now in retrospect because all I could see was the flaming that started this post. The helpful information was reposted later in a helpful manner and was not deleted. However, missing that helpful bit... it was deemed inappropriate and deleted.
This poster defends himself against claims made at some time in the past by SparkyMcSparks. Not a horrible post really... but not helpful in any way. Deleted.
The poster asks that if there is no conspiracy that SparkyMcSparks please post the methods of adding FXs. Deleted because it fell in with the others as I hit the delete button after the original post was answered.
More flaming of SparkyMcSparks leading back to an older, locked thread. Locked due to the breaking of rules that didn't need any more breaking. The thread was at this point brought to my attention where I acted in accordance of the rules.
So there you have the abbreviated version of what happenedin the forums. Know that it wasn't just the lack of value that causedthese posts to be deleted. It was their rude intention whichcould only be followed up with further unwanted posts.
Well, this has again turned into a personal attack against Modsonline andmyself. By personal attacks I refer to such comments as:
"The thread was locked by Admins on Modsonline who don't seem to care much"
"Everything has been deleted over at mod$$$$online"... which I will go into shortly
"How convenient to have the posts deleted. But cool, let's Modsonline deleting vital infos for the community, its great. As if the community wasnt split already enough!" as to say that Modsonline is breaking up the community by moderating the forums.
"Modsonline is making a serious error in taking the side of SparkyMcSparks..... Ass kissing always ends up a failure" to say that we are taking sides. Although I really don't recall making stance which means I must be fair game for who ever claims (or disclaims) me first.
"foyleman seems to like to always be on the wrong side. Anyway, if its not bring money in his pocket it will be deleted. The only thing Mod$$$$online support is anything that will pack their pockets. And people still continue to provide stuffs and help there.... Another anti-community site." Again, someone claiming my support.
As for "mod$$$online", someone thinks I've got a golden throne here where I burn bills for fun thanks to all the money I rake in here. Are you kidding me? The site doesn't even support itself. There have been many times (at least once a year) where I have to explain to my wife why I put my own money into this website. I work my ass off for this site and I don't make a damn cent. And in the event that we do turn a profit (happened like twice), we run a contest and give away things to this great community to which I've given over ten years of my life. How is this any different than a site with a donation link? 99% (actually 99.99815%) of the registered members here are free members. It's our way of asking for a donation and giving back to those who do donate.
A picture of SparkyMcSparks calling him a parasite, yelling out in large caps that he is insulting users and stating that all this can be "Seen at MODSONLINE". This is a personal attack not unlike the time Modsonline was exhuberantly claimed to support hackers. We don't support hackers, but this person is happy to make that claim for us.
"@foyleman: If you are going to base your deletions on personal attacks etc then do a better job at it instead of just picking them here and there." ... "If you cant take a real stand then at the very least be consistent in how you admin your site. The message that you are sending to the community is that you are protecting SparkyMcSparks for reasons that are most certainly only known by you." I've responded to similar accusations before. I can't see every single post and I ask (here and in the rules) that such matters be brought to my attention. When they are, I deal with them immediately such as those mentioned above. And the reason no one knows why I am protecting SparkyMcSparks is because I am not.
"I'm disgusted by modsonline, SparkyMcSparks and all of the rest of those idiots." Hey, that's not just me... that's you he's talking about too, if you are here and reading this message.
Thereason for this message is to respond to questions being raised bymembers of this site as a result of ridiculous behavior. To respond tofellow members that I respect and feel deserve a response. I am notcalling anyone out. I am not naming names (except for SparkyMcSparks whoneeds to be named for the sake of this message) or linking to othersites. I am not trying to incite arguments. I am telling you what Ihave found and how ithas led to a situation that requires me to write this.
And I encourage you to not flame those who are making these posts and claims. We know what a great community we have here.

We'll then air it on Stickam like we do the weekly MODSonair video show. There won't be any video recording of the event as the video would probably crash my machine. lol.
