Do you watch intro movies in games?	General

Many games these days have little intro movies which play before you even start the game. Some are cutscenes and some are action packed CG films. Do you ever watch these or do you skip past them?

I watch them, as long as they don't look like they are gonna suck. I don't know why, I just do.

One of the games that inspired me to watch the intros is Red Alert 2. That game had awesome movies, which made C & C Generals suck because it had no movies.

Depends on the game, some games make no sense if you dont watch the movie, and you spend 90% having no idea whats going on. And then other movies are just a waste of time.

I watch them on every game the first time I play the game. After that I look for ways to avoid having to watch them. Such ways like deleting them from the drive so they can't play (bf2142) or adding something to the shortcut to bypass them (+disconnect).

I usually watch the intro at least once, maybe twice, and that's it.

Well can anyone also look at it as work these developers are doing for us to make our experiences better by knowing more and getting a bigger interest in it?

I suppose it depends on the game and what happens in said cutscene that decides weither or not you watch it again. Most of the games i got, they are well worth watching, Metal gear solid being right up there, Resident evil 4 (interactive are neat idea). But once you seen it there is no need to watch them again, unless it's worth it. Such as Vamp from MGS2 taking out a whole seal team.

I only watch World of Wacraft intros becouse they are awesome. PS I like Warcraft 3 movies too. (Blizzard makes a good intros :)

It really depends on the game for me. Some games, the intros are awesome, and they build up excitement so that when it's over, you're like "hell yeah, I wanna play!!" Others are just lame. Either way, I'll watch it usually the first time through, then skip it (unless it's one of the really good ones).
