Halo 3 is just about out on store shelves and in our consoles. Are you gonna be one of the first to play or will you be fragging somewhere else?

Consoles? Are you kidding? What 'bout modding, eh? Ever heard of a modding community for --- (yach) CONSOLES ? I only hope the "Industry" won't let the modders and mappers down and start building & promoting games for consoles only...

Halo is a truly awful game... It's like a bad ripoff of Timesplitters with a big hole where the gameplay should be... The fact that the vast majority of it's fanbase consists of whiny geeky kids doesn't do it any favours either...

I think the majority of people at this network and many other networks that offer a lot of information about game development in many areas, most often want to develop games or parts of them, and they'll be working with the PC, so i think its pretty obvious no one here would have a 360 because we are busy working with PC's and we can do some things on the PC that console only players can't.

What would be the purpose in using a console game that you can't change, alter, or remake in a way that keeps it interesting past the 2nd time through. That is one of the things that makes PC gaming great. Most of the PC games now can be altered to keep them fun. Look at U.T. and SoF2 . .. these have been out so long I don't even remember buying the games anymore. But, yet there STILL are active servers running them everyday. Not like there used to be, but, they're there.

I personally love the Halo series. The shield system is great and the weapons doing different damages to the shields vs the health depending on the weapon makes the game more strategic than most FPS IMO. The gravity system of the game is fun to play with and they have basically a working helicopter which most games have trouble pulling off. I do with they would support the PC more though... I would love to mod/map halo 2 and most likely 3.

I don't mean to bust any one's bubbles here, but there ARE infact mapping AND modding communities for console games. Please keep in mind that the 360 has a hard drive, and the original Xbox had one too (though very primitive). I know a fella who modded the crap out of Halo 1 and 2 on his xbox. Not to mention, Halo3 comes with a new gametype called "forge mode", it allows you to spawn any item into the map, move any item around, and basically change EVERY thing that's inside of the map. Though you cannot change the actual map itself, you can spawn tanks, jeeps, four wheelers, weapons, explosive crates, etc. As for the map changing part, you can create your own maps for Halo. I'm sorry that I had to stick up for the console gamers even though I'm not one myself, but I just thought you fellas should know the facts before criticizing. Happy Gaming!

Halo was invented before time splitters... Halo 2s hype and lack of anything that actually could make the game fun put me off Halo3, my mate brang the game down though the other day... played it for about 20 mins and was soo bored and annoyed that the only graphic changes seem to be grass effects... i went to bed. Does not live up to the Hype and i feel sorry for anyone who fell for it. Although I think Halo was a good game, all it promised was Combat Evolved and it delivered !
