Recently there has been a troubling issue regarding someone who placed an exploit in his mod. I do not want to discuss this issue here. Instead, please review our forum posts found:

This user's files have been deleted and the issue discussed at length.

I want to know, does the MODSonline.com community want this person banned from our site? It's OUR community so I want your opinion. This poll will decide the action.

I didn't vote because there is an option left out. This sites owner needs to make the call on his own. To leave a decision like this up to which way the wind blows in a poll is weak. Make a stand.

I feel the same way. I think the final decision lays in the hands of foyle. Having seen what has happened, I would be inclined to have the user removed from this community. I feel that the trust between server administrators and modders has been tarnished and that's not what we are here for.

i to havent voted but i do care about this its bloody hard because the guy in quetsion has given so much to the community and helped others in there scripting but yet he has taken something that is hard to replace..

well maybe my opinion on this dates back to the flower power times, but i'd feel more for not banning ... what he has done can't be forgotten, but the way all communities and forums have flamed and yelled at him is even worse in my opinion, he has done a lot to help other mappers around here, he has a lot of talent for this, and well it would be a shame to see all that go to waste. in all i think as a community we can find a way to fix the problem, and spread the word to admins to not use these mods, and to remove them from all servers, and i think we shouldn't let down a community member that has helped so many of us.

I only read a tiny bit of what this thing can do, I don't care what he's done for anyone, I read a few lines of the post and that was enough for me. the amount of people that get screwed over with these scams and your asking for our opinion. what happens when you got no more public on your forum, cause they are afraid of what crap they might download. on the other hand I do like second chances. I'm a sucker for punishment, lol

Ban him. He is a disgrace to the honest players, modders, future or current developers. A lot of people around where I live "don't much care for PC" due to this stupid poo-poo happening. People steal passwords. People hack and use aimbots. Sure it's in console, but slightly easier on PC. This guy can get rcon passwords, what's to stop him from doing something to modsonline itself and causing the admins money and the members trouble? Imo, if other gaming forums ban him, we should to. Modsonline is a neighborhood in a huge city of others the same.

lol, you really shouldn't ban him just because he knew some flaws in a game. It is more of IW's fault if anything because through out 3 games, they never caught it. Maybe this comming patch, they might of fixed it, but I doubt that even. The kid is brilliantly smart, and who cares if some admins lose their passwords to one person. Thei are over 10000 servers out their, waaaa cry me a river, one gets a bad mod, their fault not his. He just used a nice little cheat if you want to even call it that, to his advantage. The aimbot, ok.... /pb_power /pb_kick ##, ur golden, done. The rcon pass.... one person, out of, how many? a couple hundred thousand, LOL... yea, exactly. and i highly doubt he even though of giving others the passwords, and people like that raiders forum, blow everything out of proportion. It was a little thing done, look at the mod its self. it is fun, and exciting, and if a server wants it, let some random kid have the rcon, and have you heard any of these owners complain about random kickings or bannings? lol, no, i think id trust this kid a little more than u do, again, one out of thousands, not gonna make a difference... get a life guys, honestly....

this has been dealt with properly I see. ummm. . . so sso you don't think there should be any negative effects for his unethical actions? maybe someone is worried about being caught in a similar situation. . . maybe not.

Foyle made the right decision in this case. It doesnt matter how much good a person has done or could do in the future. Simple fact of the matter is that the person crossed a line that he should have kn own better than to do. sso, your stand on this is amazing to say the least. It seems to me that as long as someone is doing good most of the time (we think) but gets caught doing something horrendously bad that what he has done in the past makes up for a super stupid move? A priest who has done many good things for many people in his career suddenly gets caught playing with an alter boy.....if I use your reasoning then you would forgive him and tell the congregation to grow up and get a life? Perhaps if you were that alter boy or server admin then you might feel a bit differently.

Im stunned to find out that Kill3r would do something like this, Im not sure what to believe. Although even though hes done this i dont think he should be banned completely, if its a new mod, only a few servers should have it so far. Help out those servers and delete the mod or two. I dont think you should remove all past files though, he has done some fabulous work and all of it gone would be a little more upsetting. Its crazy how one of the most popular online gamers i know can lose it so fast with one mistake.

Who said anything about him not being punished? He and his material were banned from CodUtility. This poll was whether he should be banned here. And I'm new and have no idea who this guy is, but from reading a little bit on how smart he is (which is pretty obvious from what he did) and how much he's helped people, it sounds like banning him here is just hurting everyone else. When a question like this comes up, you have to ask yourself will there be any benefit to banning him and will it hurt anyone not to ban him? The answers as I see it are no and no. Banning his material may help but I don't see how banning his knowledge will. I know this has been closed for a while but I saw it and thought I'd comment.

to trevsc: haha, ive released 1 cod2 map, and i dont map anymore, or ever did mod, lol, i make fun maps, that no1 will ever see haha, bc there just bash maps, and there all perverted, and i dont think this lil script works in maps... only mods.. so nope, ill nvr do it... i just think, if i ever do, ill prolly include it, ahahah, its funny. and as to LPRAY: we think? look at his mods, i nvr played them hahaha, but i heard there sweet, he makes gameplay fun and stuff, so we KNOW he meant it all good, except the lil rcon and aimbot thing, adn whos that benifiting? HIM, no one else, its barely affecting anyone, and im sure if it did bug someone, theyd figure it out during UO, not now, and as for ur lil stupid priest thing, thats effecting EVERYONE that guy comes in contact with, his parents and everything, so its not the same, sure, killer prolly kicked soem people, or restarted a round, he made clear that his intentions were for zombies mostly, the glitchers and such, that make the gametype no fun, i no exactly how this is, it sucks, a lot, i hate playing zombies on reg. maps bc of all the glitching, its like, yayayayyay, not rlly, stupid, boring, worthless fun, u no? and thats it man, im not gonna do this, and if i do haha, that would be sweet, but idk any mods that i could make that people would actually use, so it would be worthless, and with rcon, all id do would be knockback and gravity, and people would have fun with that anyways... so i wouldnt do anything bad, jut like he did, no complaints from admins, or anyone, and the reason i stand strongly for him is bc hes a brilliant kid, haha, hes smart, and anyways, its only a game, a couple servers got hit, o well, to bad, make ur own mods then =P and live with it, its life haha (btw, any admin or somthing want me not to comment anymore, just say and im done, lol, i just think he shouldnt be banned bc of peer pressure from other sites, i read 20 pages of that 1 forum, haha, i no pretty much wats going on)
