Want a MODSonline Wiki for various games?	General

Just recently Infinity Ward lost their wiki for Call of Duty. We don't know if it's gone forever or just undergoing maintenance. But it spurred on the idea that MODSonline should start up a wiki of their own for Call of Duty. I say, why stop at just one game.

The wiki site would not be a replacement of anything already have. It would an addition to. Yes, the tutorials are now wiki style where as members can add and edit tutorials just like a wiki. However, this may or may not be a benefitial addition.

I can't guarantee that the wiki would be searchable from within the MODSonline website. Although I will try to make that compatible, I can't be absolutely certain it will work. That would mean 2 sites with great information.

So answer the poll below. Let's see what the community wants.

I think its good aslong aslong as the website gets cleaned up a bit, theres probably 200+ posts all asking the same question, so why not compile all the different answers into the faq/tutorials and delete the posts.

The IW wiki will be set in it's original postition this weekend, according to FourZeroTwo (Robert Bowling, Community manager at IW) But, I do think it's a good idea, can't have enough wikis!

Now eveyone who was looking fot tutorials, info or any news for new custom maps releases in there is pee-peeed off. There are just two pages outstanding as the best for map/mod making. Mods online is one of them, ask Capt.coll which is the other

I believe the site is as easy to navigate as it would need to be... another page with the exact same information, just organized a different way, seems pointless. A wiki would just cause confusion amongst some of the less-experienced mappers and modders. Simply put, I don't see a need for it.

Being new to both map making and mods online I found that between here and the iw wiki I was confident enough to make and complete a map. However since the wiki went south I'm left struggling to find bits of info here and there to finish my map of. The info I do find is often different to someone else's explanation of searched subject which I have found to be very disorientating. There is a gap in the info department which needs to be filled weather it be with a wiki or by updating the cod 4 tutorial section to include the valuable info that was on the iw wiki. Either one would be a great asset to mods online.

I believe it will be a great idea! Most or all problems will be solved. People, especially me will be able to create better maps and make them work. I will love it once it's up and running! It will be .

nullYea wiki's are good, but the communities aren't as good or as helpful, i think keep mods online, its musc better and way more helpful!!
