  1. Winners will be announced one week following the conclusion of this contest.
  2. Multiple entries are permitted however only one prize per person will be awarded. All contestants must be members of MODSonline.com in order to compete. No purchase is necessary (free membership is allowed).

  4. Entries must contain original content excluding that which we provide you in the starter package. Entries cannot be an altered version of an existing map or mod. Remember, one of the things we will be judging is originality and creativity. Make sure all content is included in your submission or your entry will be disqualified.
  5. Entries sent in must be bug free (we just don’t have the time to bug test them for you). Any bugs found will count against the score. Average fps, with a complete and detailed Readme (you can use the Readme Creator at MODSonline.com, must accompany the entry. With your submission you must also include correct contact information so we can get in touch with you.
  6. Custom textures, models and other contents are encouraged.

We also encourage you to release screenshots and info about your entry, particularly on our forums or on your Projects page. At the contest’s end, all submitted entries may be released to the public. 17. This contest is open to all countries.

Two prizes will be awarded to the the top two submissions. The prize will be the shirt of your choice from the MODSonline.com Cafe Press Store.

Judging Examples (maps):

  1. Creative Liberties (if applicable): Basically, if you added new and improved scripts etc to make it cool, that is a good thing.
  2. Textures & Geometry: Minimal flickering or seeing-through of walls and textures, texture colors and appearance, solid geometry (no falling through floors, walking through walls, etc).
  3. Detail Level: Are all of the objects there? Trees, shrubs, cars & other vehicles, etc. Have any been added that look cool (exploding mines, furniture, etc.)?
  4. Spawn Points: Do players spawn where they are supposed to?
  5. Functionality: Do the doors work? Does glass break? Are vehicles scaled correctly?
  6. Weather: What kinds of weather effects does the map have? Feel free to take some liberties with this one.
  7. Multiple game type compatibility: Does the map work in all available game types?.

From us here at MODSonline we wish you the best of luck.

Now Get Mapping... and Modding.

Cheers
