SOF2SDK Repair Kit by narc
In some cases, users of the editor have reported errors occuring within the preferences and settings of Radiant. Some of these errors have been: - the measure tool was giving false readings
- mangled maps outputted
- numerous crashes
1. Run FIX_SoF2_Radiant_SDKv100.reg to clean the registry.You will need to reset your preferences and project settings but the benefit is a fast fresh full install. All of the stuff like maps and textures wont be uninstalled so you aren't setting up everything all over again, just the project settings and preferences. A complete fix, combined with repair or remove/install from sof2mpsdk.msi you can completely repair the sdk in under a minute.
2. Open Notepad and save a blank text file named C:\SoF2MPSDK\bin\registry.ini. It may be blank now, but not for long. This file will be added to by the computer in a later step and contain all your settings for future fixes.
3. Run C:\SoF2MPSDK\bin\RadiantMP.bat. It should already be there from the installation of the SDK.
4. Now go back and reset all of your Preferences and Project Settings. You can refer back to the SOF2SDK Setup tutorial for assistance if you need.
5. Now, save a backup of that registry.ini file that you created. You can either temporarily rename it or just copy it to another folder. When you want to maintain your version of editor, just delete the old registry.ini file and restore the backup that you just now created. |
