A modified compile .bat file
extract and place in your /Activision/Call of Duty 2/bin/ folder - making sure to overwrite the existing file

Be careful when extracting this zip file, the actual .bat file is inside a second nested .zip file inside the first one. That might be one reason it did not seem to work for you.

this file places pauses between the stages of your compile allowing you to see/report any errors or warnings that may come up in your compile process

you still need to use the IW front end to run the compile with this file, but it will execute this .bat rather than theirs
