Just a simple Photo Shop tut on how to get a nice text effect to your plain writing...
Step 1: Make your text, with the text tool

Step 2: Drop a shadow, leave settings as they are...

Step 3: Drop a inner-shadow, and my the opacity 42

Step 4: Add Bevel & Emboss your text and make the size 0

Step 5: Add Stroke to your text, make the size 0 & the colour black

Step 6: Add a colour over lay...what ever colour you want...i chose Red
