You don't need to decompile the bsp to a map, you just have to send them through q3map2 with the -meta flag and -flat to get cel shaders working, that's what I have heard. I haven't tried it, but yep it will take a long time -- if you have a faster way go... [more]

What you should be looking at instead are the r_speed numbers and then worry about portals in a problem area. remember the more portals you add, the longer it takes vis, and the greater the chance is that one of these portals will see into another.... [more]

Just play through the original SOF2 maps until you see one that you like then open the specific shader file to find it in there... If you open the *.shader files in base/shaders in notepad you can ctrl+F for "glass" -- that will let you find any alread... [more]

Ohh man that is the worst error that you can possibly get, I'm pretty sure it means you failed to properly optimise the map. You need to get the r_speeds down to a more reasonable level then that problem should go away. Depending on how you built this map... [more]
