That's one of the reasons why I decided to do a degree in computing and not something more specific. A "Jack of all trades, Master of none" type degree.

Yep. that's what I did as well. I did my BSc in computer science at Middlesex University which didnt limit me to just a job in game design, but at the same time had plenty of modules related to game design:

I'm currently a software engineer, but maybe one day I might get a job as a game designer (wouldn't mind working for Rockstar Leeds ).
