I wish I could help, but it's been over 10 years since I played with this engine. I really can't think of what might cause this issue.

I would have suggested it was your settings in radiant, but you stated that you tried compiling directly in dos. So that's not the problem.

My next thought is the filename and foldername structure.
Consider backing everything up and then reinstalling using paths that do not have spaces. Make sure your map doesn't have spaces or odd characters or is too long. I'm thinking it can't find the file because it's getting lost and spaces in names could cause that.

Look. I installed "sof2_1_2sdk.msi" to default directory.
C:\SoF2SDK... Enter in the code folder and ui. Next have default source code. Now i opened cmd and look.

I tried to compile on Windows 7(64 bit), Windows Xp(32 bit) and win 98! Everywhere it is the same.
Contents of bat file:
Quote:
@set include=

del /q vm
mkdir vm
cd vm

set cc=..\..\..\bin\sof2lcc -DQ3_VM -S -Wf-target=bytecode -Wf-g -I..\..\cgame -I..\..\game -I..\..\ui %1

%cc% ../ui_main.c
@if errorlevel 1 goto quit
(..)

..\..\..\bin\sof2asm -f ../ui
@if errorlevel 1 goto quit

mkdir "..\..\..\base\vm"
copy *.map "..\..\..\base\vm"
copy *.qvm "..\..\..\base\vm"

:quit
cd ..

I tried modyfication bat file ex. ui.bat, but i can't compiling [sad]
It is possible to compile the source code through the compiler, rather than by a bat file?

Or how to convert a bat file?

Actually, I don't remember what this "UI" thing is that you are trying to do. Are you compiling a map? That should only require bsp, vis and rad.Three separate commands.

I think your trying to compile modified code which I am unable to help with. I wasn't doing that way back then.

Running this via the command line is easier than trying to setup radiant to compile. I remember having to jump through alot to make it work. However, I also thought I posted information on how to do it however many years ago. Either in the forums or the tutorials here.

Trying to compile the default code. I have to compile the files to a QVM. Anyone knows how to do it?
